Product Description
A storybook landscape underfoot
Under a Thousand Leaves Irregular Tree Rug
Beneath the sweeping canopy of an ancient tree, tiny doors, woodland companions and hidden paths invite a new story every day. The Under a Thousand Leaves rug turns an open floor into a calm setting for reading, building, storytelling and imaginative play.
Its watercolor-inspired greens and warm earth tones create visual interest without overwhelming the room.
Generous 6 × 6 ft Size
A defined floor space for books, blocks, forts and quiet activities.
Organic Tree Silhouette
An irregular outline that makes the illustration feel part of the room.
Soft Faux Cashmere
Approximately 8 mm pile and 12 mm total thickness.
Made in California
Heat-sublimation printed, hand cut and finished with overlock stitching.
A Woodland Playroom Rug With a Quieter Mood
Many activity-space designs rely on loud primary colors. This irregular tree rug takes a gentler approach: layered foliage, hand-painted details and a softly aged storybook atmosphere. It works as both a practical floor accent and an illustration children can explore with their eyes and imaginations.
Open-Ended Play
The paths, roots and woodland details can become part of invented adventures.
Nature-Inspired Spaces
Pairs naturally with wood furniture, muted greens, warm neutrals and botanical décor.
Creative Learning Areas
A welcoming floor zone for puzzles, crafts, building pieces and shared activities.
How the 6 × 6 ft Size Fits
At approximately 72 × 72 inches at its widest and tallest points, this 6 × 6 rug is large enough to anchor a dedicated activity area without behaving like a full-room carpet. Before ordering, mark the footprint with painter’s tape and confirm that doors, storage drawers and walkways can move freely around the irregular outline.
Measuring tip: Irregular rugs are measured across their maximum width and height. The illustrated outline does not fill every part of a 6 × 6 ft square.

Important Production Notes
- Each rug is hand cut and edge-finished, so dimensions and outline may vary by approximately 1–2 inches.
- Screen settings, room lighting, fabric texture and fiber direction may affect how the printed colors appear.
- The artwork is printed on raised fibers. Colors can look lighter when the pile is brushed in another direction, and the lighter base may show when fibers separate.
- This rug is intended for indoor residential use and should not be exposed to prolonged moisture or high heat.
Under a Thousand Leaves Rug FAQ
Is the surface comfortable for sitting and playing?
Yes. The faux cashmere surface has an approximately 8 mm pile and a soft feel suited to reading, quiet play and other everyday indoor activities.
Is 6 × 6 ft the exact outline of the rug?
The measurement describes the maximum width and height. Because this is an irregular-shaped rug, the tree silhouette does not occupy every part of a 6 × 6 ft square. A hand-finished variation of approximately 1–2 inches is normal.
Does the backing prevent all movement?
The slip-resistant backing helps reduce minor movement on compatible, clean and dry indoor floors, but it is not slip-proof. Floor finish and activity level matter, so add a suitable rug pad when more grip is needed.
Can I use this irregular tree rug outdoors?
No. It is designed for indoor residential spaces and should not be left outdoors or exposed to prolonged moisture.
Where is the rug made?
It is printed, cut and finished in California. Orders usually ship within 72 hours of processing; carrier delivery time is additional.
