Product Description
Create a dramatic focal point with the Portal of Dawn Irregular Space-Themed Rug, a 4.5 x 4.5 ft cosmic area rug featuring a swirling portal of deep blue and glowing amber. Its layered vortex design creates a sense of movement and depth, bringing an atmospheric touch to living rooms, reading nooks, bedrooms and creative spaces.
The organic, irregular outline softens the straight lines of modern furniture, while the blue, navy and warm golden tones pair naturally with neutral upholstery, wood finishes and contemporary décor. Place this space rug near a sofa, lounge chair or coffee table to create a defined visual anchor without overwhelming the room.
Printed and finished in California, Portal of Dawn features a soft 8 mm faux cashmere surface, textured non-slip backing and reinforced overlock stitching. The smooth pile enhances the layered cosmic artwork while providing a comfortable surface for everyday indoor use.

Important Notes
- Each rug is cut and edge-finished by hand, so the finished dimensions may vary by approximately 1–2 inches.
- Colors may appear slightly different depending on screen settings, room lighting and pile direction.

Space-Themed Rug FAQ
What size is the Portal of Dawn rug?
The rug measures approximately 4.5 x 4.5 ft. Its near-square footprint works well near a sofa, reading chair, bed or compact seating area.
Is this a galaxy rug?
Portal of Dawn has an abstract cosmic design inspired by a glowing portal or vortex rather than a literal pattern of stars and planets. It works well for shoppers looking for a modern galaxy or space-themed rug.
What material is the rug made from?
It features an approximately 8 mm faux cashmere surface with a soft, wool-like feel, along with a textured non-slip backing and overlock-stitched edges.
Does the rug have a non-slip backing?
Yes. The textured backing helps reduce movement on clean, dry floors. An additional rug pad may provide extra grip on especially smooth flooring.
Which rooms work best for this cosmic rug?
It can be used in living rooms, bedrooms, reading nooks, home offices, creative studios, gaming rooms and other indoor spaces.
Why can the colors look different from different angles?
The faux cashmere pile reflects light differently depending on its direction. The blue and amber tones may therefore appear lighter or darker when viewed or brushed from another angle.
How should I clean the rug?
Vacuum gently using low suction and spot clean small spills with mild detergent and cold water. Do not bleach, soak or machine wash. Allow the rug to air dry completely.
