Product Description
The gentlest tiger in the house
Once Upon a Nap Cartoon Tiger Rug
Even the wildest paws need a nap. Once Upon a Nap captures a tiger curled into a warm, sleepy circle—stripes tucked in, eyes closed and adventure temporarily postponed. This cartoon tiger rug adds character to a room while keeping the overall mood calm and easy to style.
Designed as an indoor accent for bedrooms, nurseries, playrooms, reading nooks and other quiet corners.
4 × 4 ft Size
A balanced footprint for a defined reading, rest or play area.
Rounded Tiger Design
The curled sleeping pose creates a friendly, compact character shape.
Soft Faux Cashmere
Approximately 8 mm pile and 12 mm total thickness.
Made in California
Heat-sublimation printed, individually cut and finished with overlock stitching.
A Sleeping Tiger Rug With a Softer Personality
Tiger décor often leans loud, fierce or highly realistic. This design takes the opposite route. The rounded pose, closed eyes and warm orange palette turn a powerful animal into a reassuring storybook character. It brings visual warmth without requiring an entire jungle-themed room.
Beside a Bed
The rounded shape adds a soft visual transition beside a bed, crib or nightstand.
Playroom Corner
Use it to define a compact zone for puzzles, blocks, drawing or imaginative stories.
Animal-Themed Space
Pair it with forest, safari or storybook accents without making the room feel overly busy.
How to Style This Cartoon Tiger Rug
Warm wood, cream textiles, muted green, clay, tan and soft blue all work naturally with the sleeping tiger artwork. Keep the rounded outline visible and repeat one or two of its warm tones in nearby cushions, baskets or wall art. The rug can carry the character theme on its own, so the rest of the room does not need matching tiger prints.
- Leave visible floor around the outer shape so the curled pose reads clearly.
- Place heavy furniture away from narrow or projecting edge areas.
- Use warm neutrals and natural textures for a calmer storybook atmosphere.
- Add only a few animal accents to keep the room balanced.
How the 4 × 4 ft Size Fits
The rug measures approximately 48 × 48 inches at its widest and tallest points. It is large enough to establish a recognizable floor zone but compact enough for placement beside furniture or in a reading corner. Before ordering, mark the dimensions with painter’s tape and check door, drawer and walkway clearance.
Measuring tip: The stated size describes the design’s maximum width and height. Because the character outline is rounded, it may not cover every part of a 4 × 4 ft square.

Important Production Notes
- Each rug is individually cut and edge-finished, so dimensions and outline may vary by approximately 1–2 inches.
- Screen settings, room lighting, fabric texture and fiber direction may affect how the orange, cream and dark details appear.
- The artwork is printed on raised fibers. Colors can look lighter when the pile is brushed in another direction, and the lighter base may show when fibers separate.
- This rug is intended for indoor use and should not be exposed to rain, standing water, prolonged moisture or high heat.
Cartoon Tiger Rug FAQ
Is the rug comfortable for sitting and playing?
Yes. It has a soft faux cashmere surface with an approximately 8 mm pile, making it suitable for reading, quiet play and other everyday indoor activities.
Is 4 × 4 ft the exact outline of the rug?
The measurement describes the maximum width and height. The rounded character shape may not fill every part of a 4 × 4 ft square, and a hand-finished variation of approximately 1–2 inches is normal.
Does the backing prevent all movement?
The slip-resistant backing helps reduce minor movement on compatible, clean and dry indoor floors, but it is not slip-proof. Floor finish and activity level matter, so use an appropriate rug pad if additional grip is needed.
Why can the tiger’s color look different from another angle?
Faux cashmere fibers reflect light differently as their direction changes. The same printed orange can therefore look lighter or darker when viewed or brushed from another angle.
Can this sleeping tiger rug be used outdoors?
No. It is designed for indoor residential spaces and should not be left outdoors or exposed to prolonged moisture.
Where is Once Upon a Nap made?
The rug is printed, cut and finished in California. It usually ships within 72 hours of order processing; carrier delivery time is additional.
