Custom Rug Orders

How custom and ready-designed rug orders work.

How do I order a custom rug?

Choose a product from our custom rug collection, select a size and design style, upload 1–5 photos or artwork files, and add any names, colors or design notes. After checkout, our design team will prepare a free digital proof for your approval before production begins.

What types of custom rugs can I create?

You can create a custom pet rug, photo rug, portrait rug, artwork rug or original-design rug. Available styles include realistic portraits, soft home décor, funny meme designs, posters, cute characters, trendy patterns and pet ID-style layouts.

Can I buy a ready-designed rug instead?

Yes. A Print Nest also offers ready-designed irregular rugs for living rooms, bedrooms, kids’ rooms, reading nooks and other indoor spaces. Ready designs do not require a design proof.

Can I change or cancel my order?

Email support@aprintnest.com as soon as possible. We will try to help if production or shipment has not started. Custom and made-to-order items normally cannot be canceled after production begins.

Photos & Design Proofs

Photo requirements, artwork rights and proof approval.

What photo works best for a custom pet rug?

Use a clear, well-lit original photo that shows your pet’s face, markings and body shape without heavy blur or filters. Eye-level photos with the pet fully visible usually produce the clearest custom rug design.

How many photos can I upload?

You can upload 1–5 photos. Multiple images can help us understand your pet’s coloring, markings and personality when one photo does not show every important detail.

Will I receive a free design proof?

Yes. Every custom rug order includes a free digital proof. You can request reasonable adjustments to the layout, colors, text or image placement during the proof stage. Printing begins only after you approve the final design.

Can I upload artwork, a logo or my own design?

Yes. We accept pet photos, portraits, illustrations, logos and original artwork. You must own the image or have permission from the copyright holder to reproduce it.

What happens if my image quality is too low?

If an image is too small, blurry or unclear for the selected size, we may contact you for another file. Starting with a clear original image helps preserve important facial features and design details.

Materials & Production

Faux cashmere, printing, sizing and California production.

What material are A Print Nest rugs made from?

Most A Print Nest rugs have an approximately 8 mm premium faux cashmere surface with a soft, wool-like feel. They also include a textured non-slip backing and neatly finished overlock edges.

How is the rug artwork produced?

Designs are applied using dye-sublimation printing. Each rug is then hand-cut and finished with overlock stitching at our California facility.

Will the finished rug size be exact?

Because every rug is cut and edge-finished by hand, the final dimensions may vary by approximately 1–2 inches. Small differences in an irregular outline are also normal.

Why can the colors look different from another angle?

Faux cashmere fibers reflect light differently depending on pile direction. Colors may look slightly lighter or darker when the rug is brushed or viewed from another angle. Screen settings and room lighting can also affect color appearance.

Will small text and fine lines print clearly?

Soft pile can make extremely thin lines and very small text appear less sharp than they do on a screen. We may adjust delicate details during the proof stage so they reproduce more clearly on the finished rug.

Does the rug have a non-slip backing?

Yes. The textured backing helps reduce movement on clean, dry indoor floors. It does not guarantee that the rug will remain completely stationary on every surface, so an additional rug pad is recommended for very smooth floors or active areas.

Shipping & Delivery

Production timing, U.S. delivery and order tracking.

Where does A Print Nest ship?

We currently ship within the United States from our California facility. Shipping availability and any location-based charges are shown during checkout.

How quickly will my rug ship?

Ready-designed rugs typically ship within 72 business hours. Custom rugs enter production after the final proof is approved and typically ship within 72 business hours after approval. Weekends and public holidays are excluded.

How long does delivery take?

Continental U.S. delivery generally takes 3–7 business days after dispatch. Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico may take approximately 5–12 business days. Carrier operations, weather and destination can affect delivery time.

How much does shipping cost?

Standard U.S. shipping is free unless checkout shows an oversized, remote-area or location-based surcharge. Any additional cost is displayed before payment.

How can I track my order?

When your rug ships, you will receive an email containing the carrier and tracking number. Tracking may take several hours to update after the shipping label is created.

What if my order arrives damaged or incorrect?

Contact us within 48 hours of delivery and include photos of the packaging, shipping label and rug. After reviewing the information, we will arrange an appropriate replacement or refund for confirmed damage or fulfillment errors.

Returns & Exchanges

Eligibility, return shipping, exchanges and refunds.

Can I return a ready-designed rug?

Eligible ready-designed rugs can be returned within 30 days of delivery when unused and kept in their original condition and packaging. Final-sale, clearance, AS-IS and sample items are not eligible except when defective.

Can I return a custom rug?

Custom and made-to-order rugs are generally not returnable because they are produced specifically for you. If a rug arrives defective, damaged, incorrect or materially different from the approved proof, contact us so we can review the issue.

How do I start a return?

Email support@aprintnest.com or use our contact page. After approval, we will provide return instructions, the return address and an RMA when required. Please do not send an item back before receiving approval.

Who pays for return shipping?

Customers cover return shipping for non-defective returns. If we provide a prepaid label, its actual cost may be deducted from the refund. A Print Nest covers shipping for confirmed defective, incorrect or transit-damaged items.

Is there a restocking or handling fee?

A handling fee applies only when an opened return requires cleaning or repackaging. It may be up to 10% of the item price and is capped at $25. No handling fee applies to confirmed defective, incorrect or damaged items.

Do you offer exchanges?

Eligible unused ready-designed rugs may be exchanged within 30 days of delivery. Custom, made-to-order and final-sale items are not eligible except when defective or incorrect.

How long does a refund take?

Approved refunds are issued within 5 business days after a return is received and inspected. Your bank or payment provider may take another 3–10 business days to post the credit.

Faux Cashmere Rug Care

Cleaning, vacuuming, pile care and recommended use.

How should I clean my faux cashmere rug?

Vacuum gently using low suction. Spot clean small spills with mild detergent and cold water, then allow the rug to air dry completely.

Can I machine wash the rug?

Machine washing is not recommended. Do not bleach, soak or machine dry the rug because this can affect the backing, printed surface and edge stitching.

Can I use the rug outdoors?

Our faux cashmere rugs are primarily designed for indoor home décor. Products shown in balcony or patio settings should be used only in dry, enclosed or covered areas. They are not waterproof or intended for permanent outdoor exposure.

What if the pile looks flattened after delivery?

Unroll the rug and let it rest flat. Gently brush or vacuum the pile in one direction to help the fibers settle. Temporary flattening from packaging normally improves with regular use.
